Wharton’s Erika James, first female dean: ‘Gender is the least of what I have to offer’

In celebration of Women’s History Month, here is a fascinating article on Erika Hayes James who will take over as dean of the Wharton School (undergraduate and graduate) at the University of Pennsylvania beginning July. Not only is she the first woman to serve as dean, she is the first person of color to hold this position at Wharton. James will be moving over from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where she was also the first woman and first person of color to hold the deanship there.
