Poets & Quants PreMBA Networking Festival 2016

Admitify has sent an invitation to a unique PreMBA Networking Festival to our clients who were admitted this year to Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, Wharton, Chicago Booth, Kellogg, Columbia Business School, Dartmouth Tuck, INSEAD, Berkeley Haas, Duke, Michigan Ross, and other top business schools.

What’s a PreMBA Networking Festival? A festival that brings together entering MBAs and the world’s top companies in New York City on May 5 and 6, 2016. Poets&Quants is hosting the preMBA Networking Festival to help all top-tier MBA candidates get ready for business school, and especially those entering from non-traditional backgrounds, such as the military, women, underrepresented minorities and international students. You will make important connections, become more savvy about career development, and better prepare yourself after graduation. Focus areas include consulting, finance, technology, and CPG/healthcare. Attendees may choose to attend all companies in one track or select from participating companies across industries.

Schedule:

May 5th – Welcome kick-off at NYU’s Stern School of Business. What’s it like to work in consulting, finance, technology, and CPG/healthcare? How should you prepare for your MBA career in each industry? Hear executives from leading MBA employers such as J. P. Morgan, McKinsey & Co. and Anheuser Busch inBev, in the pre-festival welcome and panel discussion.

May 6th – Festival Day in New York City. Visit different companies in their New York executive offices in four major MBA career tracks: consulting, finance, technology, and CPG/healthcare. Get a feel for the companies, their cultures and people in your choice of hosted one-hour sessions. Design your own schedule; zigzag across tracks or concentrate on a single track.

May 6th – Cocktail round-up. Festival Day ends with a closing reception sponsored by J.P. Morgan on the 50th floor of their midtown offices.

To help registered attendees prepare for this event, Poets&Quants will share a guide to networking basics. It will also host a live webinar for attendees in advance of the event, providing advice on how to get the most out of this opportunity.

PreMBA candidates who wish to attend (cost: $250) must submit a current resume and a round one or two acceptance letter. Registration includes welcome panel and reception, full day festival trek (includes five sessions, lunch, and metro card for the day) and closing networking event. If you have questions about the event, email Poets & Quants at events@poetsandquants.com.
