One Young Harvard Grad’s Quixotic Quest to Disrupt Private Equity

A fascinating long read for your weekend about Stanford GSB grad Daniel Rasmussen. After graduating from Harvard summa cum laude in 2009, he was hired as an analyst by Bain Capital directly out of college. He played an integral role on the team that discovered that Bain’s investment model was flawed, and when Bain refused to change he left to join Stanford’s GSB. While still working on his MBA he launched Verdad Advisers, a hedge fund firm that is taking on the private-equity industry with public companies.
