NYU Stern: New Faculty and Electives Introduced for the 2019–2020 Academic Year

NYU Stern’s call to action for this year’s incoming students is Change: Embrace it. Lead it. Create it. To that end they have launched their new Change: Studio for full-time MBA students. The focus will be on helping students proactively engage with change and includes leadership development, experiential learning, and entrepreneurship programming. As soon as they arrive on campus, students select at least one program area from the Dare It. Dream It. Drive It. curriculum.

Given Stern’s new direction, it makes sense that they have added the new courses “Climate Science: Realities & Risks of a Changing Climate” (Steve Koonin), and “Strategic Management of AI” (Robert Seamans).

Harry Chernoff is teaching a course on Las Vegas. “Operations in Entertainment: Las Vegas” looks at the supply side of the entertainment business, as well as strategy formation and decision-making.

Also new this year is Endless Frontier Labs, a 9-month program for early-stage science and technology startups that runs from October through May each year.

Some very exciting things are happening at NYU Stern!
