In Class Project, MBA Students Engage More Deeply with New Haven Community

Yale School of Management’s first-year core course “Power and Politics” debuted a group exercise in Fall 2019, “The Power Project: Using Power for Positive Change.” In it, student teams were challenged to examine the power dynamic between Yale and the city of New Haven by concentrating on one particular facet, analyzing both the benefits and the detriments of the relationship from the viewpoint of different stakeholders, and come up with solutions for improving that relationship.
