Every MBA Needs Tech Skills—Not Just Those Headed for Silicon Valley

Increasingly, business schools are adding technology courses to their programs as more graduates enter a workforce that is hungry for leaders who can communicate between data scientists and managers. NYU Stern has created the 12-month Andre Koo Technology and Entrepreneurship MBA in response to the need, and at Columbia Business School almost half of the second-year class is taking Introduction to Programming Using Python and/or Business Analytics. The dean, Costis Maglaras, is developing an Analytics in Action class that pairs business students with engineers to work on real-world projects.
