Business School Students Are Putting the Planet Before Profits

Interesting read on a growing trend in business schools to put the planet ahead of shareholder profit by baking the principles of sustainability into the coursework. The article focuses on Bard College’s MBA in Sustainability program, which they launched even though Bard does not have a business school. The article also discusses how other universities are responding to the growing student demand for sustainability courses. University of Vermont completely dismantled their traditional MBA program and instead offers an MBA in Sustainable Innovation. MIT, Duke, Yale, and INSEAD are among the top-tier business schools offering programs that cover sustainability.
