Picture this: a minimum of two years of hands-on professional experience, followed by two transformative years in the HBS MBA Program. Upon graduation from college or graduate school, our 2+2 students embark on their deferral years, dedicating a minimum of two years (maximum of four years) to growing in professional positions in the public, private, or nonprofit sectors. The 2+2 program is designed to create a pathway to the MBA for high-potential college students. Come learn if this program is right for you. We will also share additional opportunities for college students to engage with HBS, such as Peek and Summer Venture in Management.

Immerse yourself in the vast array of career possibilities and flexibility that comes with an HBS MBA degree. It’s not just about securing a position or delving into a single industry. It’s about the evolution of your career and how the Harvard Business School MBA equips you for any role you choose. Your journey to the MBA starts here!”

Katie Spies is the CEO and founder of Maev, the first human-grade raw dog food brand. An experienced innovator, with two engineering degrees from MIT and an MBA from HBS (MBA 2019, Section G). Recognizing the gap in the $100b+ pet food market, Spies founded Maev in 2018 with the belief that the modern dog owner deserves better, and shouldn’t have to trade quality for convenience. After years of R&D, working alongside veterinary nutritionists, Spies officially launched Maev in 2020 as a pet care brand that offers the highest-quality and most-nutrient-dense food and supplements for dogs everywhere. Spies is currently on the Fast Company Impact Council and was awarded the 2024 Inc. Female Founders 250 award. She resides in Austin, TX, and in her free time, Spies enjoys time outside with her three dogs, fishing, and running.”
